I realize it has been a while since this was posted, but I have only just found this site and have begun to research my father's history. My Dad is 78 years old now and needless to say his memories are a bit dusty, but he remembers as a waist gunner/flight engineer with the 22nd Bomb Group, 408TH Bomb Squadron 1944-1945, he flew on a B-24 with a pilot named Dreiman and a co-pilot named Crochet. He can't remember their first names except that the pilot's began with a J. I am trying to get his service record and other information from various sources, so if I find any more concerning your Dad I'll post it here and hope you are still checking the message board.
